BEST Flash Mob EVER!!

This really IS the best flash mob ever.  Each song gets better than the last . . . enjoy!!

Journey of Faith performed a Christmas "Flash Mob"
at the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach on December 18,
much to the delight of local shoppers.
Thanks to all who participated.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Best Christmas Lights Display . . . INCREDIBLE!!

Merry Christmas to all you amateur electricians!
This is cool, it looks like the house is jumping.

As the story goes, the guy that owns this house lives north of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Police were constantly being called for traffic jams and accidents in the neighborhood so they asked him to shut it down during certain hours.  Instead he started charging by car load to pay off duty police to be there.  The guy is supposedly a real computer GEEK.

Amazing Christmas display with 176 channels and 45,000 lights! The show is so popular that it requires a crew of 3 people to manage the traffic.

Christmas Spirit, By Wendy Silva

Christmas Spirit
by Wendy Silva

A baby lying in a manger of straw as a trio of
Wise men come bearing gifts from afar.
The birth of a king announced
By way of a guiding star.

He became an example of how to live righteously
With a heart that only knew how to love.
Such a gift to the world could only be
Given by way of the heavens above.

His spirit and example of love is still celebrated today.
As we honor the precious birth of the
Baby king every Christmas.

An Honored Tribute . . .

The Sailor Pictured Below Is Congressional Medal of Honor winner Petty Officer Second Class MIKE MONSOOR, EOD2 (Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Second Class)

PO2 MIKE MONSOOR April 5th, 1981 ~ September 29th, 2009

Mike Monsoor was awarded The Congressional Medal Of Honor Last Week for giving his life in Iraq, jumping on and covering a live hand grenade with his body, thus saving the lives of a large group of Navy SEALS that happened to be passing by.

During Mike Monsoor's funeral at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California. the six pallbearers removed the rosewood casket from the hearse.  Lined up on each side of Mike's casket were his family members, friends, fellow sailors, and well-wishers.  The column of people reached from the hearse all the way to the grave site.  What the group didn't know at the time was that every SEAL  (45 to be exact) that Mike saved that day was scattered throughout the column!  As the pallbearers carried the rosewood casket down the column of people to the grave site, the column collapsed, forming a group of people that followed behind.  Every time the casket passed a SEAL, he would remove his gold trident pin from his uniform and slap it down hard on the top of the casket, causing the gold pin to embed itself into the top of the casket.  Then the SEAL would step back and salute!

For those who don 't know what a trident pin is, here is the definition:  After one completes the basic Navy SEAL program, which lasts for three weeks and is followed by seal qualification training, which lasts 15 more weeks, trainees are given their naval enlisted code and are awarded the SEAL trident pin.  With this gold pin they are now officially SEALs.

It was said that you could hear each of the 45 slaps from across the cemetery!  By the time the rosewood casket reached the grave site, it looked as though it had a gold inlay from the trident pins that lined the top!

This was a fitting end to an eternal send-off for a warrior hero!

Forgotten Dog's Christmas

FORGOTTEN DOG'S CHRISTMAS

Author unknown

Twas the nite before Christmas when all thru the house
Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nick soon would be there.

The children all nestled all snug in their beds
With no thought of the dog filling their head.

And mamma in her kerchief and I in my cap
Knew the dog was cold, but didn't care about that.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash
Figuring the dog was free of his chain and into the trash.

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But Santa Clause with eyes full of tears.

He unchained the dog once so lively and quick
Last year's Christmas present now painfully sick.

More rapid than eagles he called the dog's name
And the dog ran to him despite all his pain.

Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen
On Comet on Cupid on Donner and Blitzen.

To the top of the porch to the top of the wall
Let's find this dog a home where he will be loved by all.

I knew in an instant there would be no gifts this year
For Santa had made one thing quite clear.

The gift of a dog is not just for the season
We had gotten the dog for all the wrong reasons.

In our haste to think of the kids a gift
There was one important thing we missed

A dog should be family, and cared for the same
You don't give a gift, then put it on a chain.

And I heard him explain as he rode out of site,
"You weren't given a gift, you were given a life."
